This is a view of their gorgeous falls in the courtyard from the resort’s restaurant. I wish this were the view I had to my backyard =).
We just returned home from out stay at The Four Seasons in Westlake Village, California and I’m totally wishing I were still at that beautiful resort. Everything about it is basically perfect. The resort itself is gorgeous, then you have the stunning landscaping, the unbelievably delicious food, the impeccable service from the staff and the out of this world spa. Also it is in a wonderful location tucked away in the hills of Westlake Village away from all the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. With a vacation this nice it makes it hard to want to return home. It was a luxurious stay at the least. I would highly recommend this resort. I would also recommend planning your stay to go during the weekend so you can enjoy their Farmer’s Market breakfast buffet and the Mercato Italiano for dinner (both of which are only served on the weekends). Then after dinner I’d recommend a visit to their fabulous spa.
Where do I even begin with their spa? You walk into this Asian inspired, spacious room that has a calming pond dotted with lily pads which lays right in the middle of the room, then you walk over this vibrantly red bridge and on to one of their 27 treatment rooms. The personal spa room had it’s own fireplace with a large flat screen tv just above it (which was displaying water falls), it had a personal shower and bathroom (which was filled with nearly everything you’d need to get ready post treatment), it also had one of the largest bath tubs I’ve probably ever seen, a personal hot tub just out the door on it’s private patio and surround sound soothing music (of course). Yes it’s is the perfect setting to get a relaxing and ultra pampering 1 1/2 hour massage. Best message I’ve ever had. Did I mention their spa was rated one of the top spas in the nation by Conde Nast Traveler? You see why it’s hard to come home? Great food, great service, unbelievably comfortable bed, a television in our guest room bathroom, and getting a perfectly relaxing massage at the spa? What more could you need =)? I simply love this resort and I hope I can make it back soon!
Now get ready for 501 pictures, or something like that. The food was so amazing so I couldn’t stop taking pictures. I loved everything served both at breakfast and dinner. They must have known I adore Italian food and love breakfast pastries and fancy desserts. Oh be sure you get an omelet made to order at the breakfast buffet, and berry brûlée oatmeal and french toast sticks with apples, pears and macadamia nut streusel (pretty much just try a little bit of everything =). And at dinner try the Lasagna Bolognese with Fontina Cheese, the Roasted Salmon with Cauliflower, Hazelnut and Rhubarb Relish (both were my amazing) and sample the Rigatnoi Pasta with Leek Fondue and Rapini Roasted Mushrooms it’s mouthwatering.

The perfect welcoming. Cookies, fruit, Fiji water and a sweet card. Am I supposed to use that plate, napkin and knife to eat those cookies? Because there’s no way I’m going to do that, they are going straight in my mouth.
I love the chandelier in the guest rooms.
Seriously? Freshly carved prosciutto to go with the platter of Italian cheeses they brought to our table. YES please!
I think her favorite part was the chocolate gelato. :)
